The Group offers the IAM 'Skill for Life' package at £99 for new applications since 1st April 2008. This package includes Group Membership for a year (from the date of joining), the books, Pass Your Advanced Driving Test, The Highway Code and Know Your Traffic Signs AND the IAM Test fee and IAM Associate status, with an automatic upgrade to full Membership of the IAM upon passing the Advanced Driving Test within 12 months. The book Pass Your Advanced Driving Test is also included and additional books The Highway Code and Know Your Traffic Signs provided free of charge.
All preparation for the Test, which takes place in your own car, is provided free of charge to Group Members. You also use your own car for the IAM Test.
Under 26 years of age?
For young drivers joining the Chelmsford Group before their 26th birthday half of the cost of the Skill for Life course is refunded by the Chelmsford Group once they have passed the IAM test. A claim form will be provided and will need to be forwarded to the Group Treasurer.
